On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The Department

Respiratory Medicine has a unique and comprehensive spectrum of expertise in Australia across clinical and basic allergy and advanced adult lung diseases, including severe asthma, emphysema, interstitial lung diseases, sleep apnoea, cystic fibrosis (CF; State Centre of Excellence) and lung transplantation.

Respiratory Medicine comprises of four Clinical Services, supported by the Bronchoscopy Service and the Physiology Service (including the Lung Function Laboratory).

  • Cystic Fibrosis Service
  • General Respiratory & Sleep Medicine Service
  • Allergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology Service 

The Role

We have a great part time opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant/HR Coordinator in the Department of Respiratory Medicine at The Alfred.

The role will focus on providing PA and administrative support to our Executive team.  This is a unique opportunity to develop a broad based knowledge of our Respiratory Medicine Department and to develop your skills.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Demonstrated experience as a Personal Assistant is essential, as are strong organisational, customer service and computer skills
  • Strong organisational skills are required, as is the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, excellence in written and oral communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail is required
