It builds on individual strengths and resilience, uses the wisdom of lived experience and fosters hope, potential and recovery. headspace Early Psychosis operates in five headspace centres across the Southern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne. Four regional Community Care Teams (CCTs) are based in Bentleigh, Frankston, Dandenong and Narre Warren. The service also includes a Mobile Assessment and Treatment Team (MATT) and a centre-based Recovery Program (RC) to serve the whole of the Southern Metropolitan region.

About the role

The major responsibilities within the Recovery Program role as Group Program Co-ordinator will involve co-ordinating and facilitating groups primarily at the headspace Bentleigh site. Input into other Recovery Program services may also arise on an as needed basis.

The headspace Early Psychosis Recovery Program provides a range of services to young people, families and professionals. Services are strengths based and value driven so that they support young people to achieve personally meaningful recovery goals, and enable cultural change within the organisation. The outcomes of these programs for young people may include: developing a positive identity, understanding personal health and mental health, developing self-management tools and engaging in valued social roles.
