Department
Alfred Mental & Addiction Health (AMAH) is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a mental illness residing in the Inner Southeastern area of Melbourne.
About the role
The Emergency Psychiatry team is comprised of dedicated and compassionate mental health clinicians. We also value higher learning and have our own practice development clinicians who are dedicated to supporting the professional growth of clinicians to provide the best care possible.
This is an incredibly unique and diverse role, which branches across four main areas – Crisis Assessment and Treatment, Triage, Emergency Psychiatry and APACER. Unlike other mental health services where staff generally are siloed into one specific team, this is a fantastic opportunity to work across a variety of unique settings and be a valued member of a supportive team which provide support across each stream depending on demand.
About you
- Approved tertiary qualifications and registration with the relevant professional body (Nursing & Midwifery Board / Occupational Therapy Board via AHPRA, or eligibility with AASW).
- Post graduate certificate equivalent in mental health.
- RPN - Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience including having worked within a community mental health setting.
- SW/OT - Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience including having worked within a community mental health setting.
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence is essential.
- Satisfactory Working with Children Check.
- Other relevant tertiary qualification or working towards, in relevant areas such as drug and alcohol or psychosocial or therapeutic interventions, highly regarded.
- Australian working rights and current Influenza vaccination.
