Applications are open for a Locum Specialist in Aged Care / Geriatric Medicine to join the dynamic Health of Older Persons Department at Alfred Health. There will be two available positions:

  1. 17.5 hours per week backfilling parental leave from 11 August 2025 through to 19 April 2026
  2. 21 hours per week backfilling parental leave from 1 October 2025 through to 1 October 2026

The Health of Older Persons Department supervises Advanced Trainees in Geriatric Medicine and values a commitment to quality patient orientated care through collaboration and research.

Suitable applicants must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Geriatric Medicine, preferably within Trauma or Perioperative medicine and /or GEM at Home, well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Geriatric Medicine.
