The Information Development Division is responsible for enabling clinical staff to deliver timely, quality care to our patients and carers through innovative use of information technologies, and through strategic management of information and data across the organisation.
The Position Summary
Alfred Health is seeking an experienced, organised and proactive IT Application Data Specialist to join the Pathology IT group, within eMR. An exciting and varied position that will help support Alfred Pathology’s LIS system (PathNet) and the wider Clinical System (Powerchart), exposing the Specialist to a wide and varied role. Responsibilities include:
- Data extraction, transformation and reporting
- Diagnostic instrument middleware support
- PathNet application configuration and support
- Medical Device Interface (MDI) support
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Experience with the Cerner Millennium PathNet Laboratory Information System (LIS) and/or Clinical Information System (CIS) and associated tools - preferred
- Excellent aptitude for problem-solving and good analytical skills, self-driven and quick learning - essential
- Cerner Command Language for Oracle / SQL and other PathNet-related programming - essential
- Cerner OS, Linux, Citrix and Windows - preferred
- Cerner Discern Analytics for reporting- preferred
