On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

We are now seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SuccessFactors Employee Central workstream Lead to join our dynamic HRIS team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the project and help shape our future organisational structure, particularly in relation to the upcoming Health Service merger.

POSITION SUMMARY

The SAP Employee Central (EC) Lead will be responsible for planning and executing the design, configuration, and delivery of Employee Central processes within the new Bayside SuccessFactors instance. This role requires a thorough understanding of healthcare HR and will focus on core HR processes, employee master data and organisational management, particularly around the best practice use of position management. The role will also significantly input into any integrations with payroll, time & absence management and Finance, ensuring accurate HR operations and data integrity across the enterprise. The role will lead a team of business analysts and work closely with both our implementation partners and each of the five in-scope health services to understand their operational needs, to arrive at the right end-to-end Employee Central common platform solution that aligns with business objectives, enhances employee experience, operational efficiency and ultimately ensures successful project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of EC solutions, including core HR processes, employee master data management, and organisational management to meet collective Bayside Health requirements.
  • Help design and drive the implementation of a best-in-class position management solution
  • Ensure seamless integration of EC with EC Payroll, Time & Absence Management (UKG), Finance, plus any other Bayside Health or third-party systems as required.
  • Conduct deep-dive sessions and collaborate with all health service HR teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective best practice system solutions that align with Bayside Health goals.
  • Help manage end-to-end delivery of EC solutions, including testing, data migration, deployment, and post-implementation support to ensure data accuracy and overall solution integrity.
  • Ensure data integrity and process compliance with health service EBAs, policies and local regulations.
  • Provide healthcare HR expertise in EC functionality and best practices to optimize both system performance and employee experience.
  • Partner with third-party vendors and functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of solutions.
  • Lead a team of business analysts to help deliver the common platform project.
  • Create and maintain a progress tracker for all EC solution design, configuration and data migration activities to ensure successful project delivery. Be ready to present/report on progress, escalating risks and issues along with any assistance needed in a timely fashion.
  • Identify and track any associated risks and issues, devising and executing suitable mitigation plans where needed.
  • Help manage senior management and stakeholder expectations, presenting findings and recommendations when appropriate.
  • Prepare and document functional specifications, solution designs, and configuration workbooks 

KEY CAPABILITIES

  • Experience of SAP SuccessFactors or other large-scale HRIS solutions
  • Proven experience working as an EC lead or senior specialist on similar large system delivery projects, within a team and/or transformation program, in a complex matrix environment.
  • Superior workstream leadership, organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work in cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail along with advanced analytical skills
  • Proactive and creative approach to problem solving where situations are complex.
  • Strong technical writing, documentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and relationships effectively.
