Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

Quality and Research Grade 4 Occupational Therapist
  • Part time position: 0.6 EFT (days of work flexible)
  • Salary Package: $75k - $83k + Superannuation

The Department 
 
Alfred Health Occupational Therapy Services operates across The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospitals, with clinical services aligned to Alfred Health's strategic goals and operational performance targets. Clinical service provision is focused on inpatient care, as well as outpatient services across a spectrum of specialties including aged care, plastic and orthopaedic, neurological, trauma, spinal, amputee and burns. The Occupational Therapy Service is committed to the provision of high-quality, evidence-based care, and strongly values professional development and clinical supervision. 
 
The Role
 
This role is a leadership position in Alfred Health Occupational Therapy working closely with clinicians, management and the broader Allied Health team. The role will include: 
  • Leading quality improvement and research projects aligned with Alfred Health’s Allied Health strategy
  • Driving quality improvement initiatives and supporting staff in research activities
  • Inspiring and mentoring staff, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Collaborating with senior clinicians and educators to ensure evidence-based clinical practice
  • Contributing to education and professional development programs for the Occupational Therapy workforce
  • Supervision of Senior Clinicians
  • Providing consultation on your clinical area of expertise as required 
Essential Experience Required 
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant clinical and leadership experience
  • Postgraduate qualification (Master’s or PhD in progress)
  • Proven expertise in quality improvement and research frameworks
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Desirable
  • Experience in implementation science, academic writing, and data analysis
  • Membership with Occupational Therapy Australia
  • Experience leading and mentoring staff in quality improvement/research
