The Department
Alfred Health has one of the most experienced and technologically advanced radiology/nuclear medicine departments in the country, providing service to the population of Melbourne and greater Victoria. We provide a comprehensive range of medical diagnostic and therapeutic services with a modern range of equipment across all modalities for both inpatients and outpatients. The departmental clinical governance strategy ensures a high standard of care for patients undergoing radiological examinations and promotes a multidisciplinary team approach. Alfred Health Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Department is fully accredited with the Department of Health.
The Role
The Quality Manager supports the Quality Coordinator in the implementation and general functioning of the quality plan for Alfred Radiology and Nuclear Medicine in respect of compliance with DIAS requirements (and successor framework NSQMI) and other relevant regulatory standards. More broadly, the role collaborates with the wider Alfred Health Quality Network to ensure effective, innovative and achievable Quality Systems are implemented and maintained.
The Quality Manager supports the Quality Coordinator in maintaining the Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Department’s Quality Systems documentation to the standards specified in the full suite of Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Standards published by the Department of Health.
The Quality Manager supports the Quality Coordinator in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine’s reporting to Alfred Health Executive including the Annual Clinical Audit and QBIP items.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to deal confidently with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office
- Proven ability work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines with the ability to multitask
- Ability to handle difficult situations and remain professional at all times
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement systems as well as work practices that are efficient and result in desired outcomes
