Chief Executive Officer, Peninsula Care Group

Bayside Health is a public health service delivering high-quality care across every stage of life for close to 1.2 million people living in metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Koo Wee Rup, Bass Coast and Southern Gippsland.

With three Care Groups (Alfred, Peninsula and Regional), 15 main sites and more than 22,000 staff Bayside Health provides exceptional, equitable and locally connected care. Education and training are central to staff development as we encourage all employees to strive and thrive.

With 7,500 staff, Peninsula Care Group (PCG) operates the new Peninsula University and Rosebud Hospital among other sites and facilities. The group also operates MePACS, a personal alarm service, which cares for around 50,000 elderly and vulnerable people across Australia.

Reporting to Bayside Health’s CEO and serving as a member of their Executive Leadership Team, the role is responsible for providing leadership and operational management of the Peninsula Care Group and contributes to realising the aspirations of Bayside Health to strengthen existing partnerships, enhance access to care, and expand opportunities for staff and community wellbeing across metropolitan and regional Victoria.

The PCG CEO will:

• Lead the delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centred care across all hospitals, sites and services within PCG
• Deliver the strategic priorities of Bayside Health through effective local operations, service integration and alignment with network-wide frameworks for clinical governance, workforce, finance, digital systems, and community engagement.
• Build a culture of excellence, accountability and compassion to support staff engagement, wellbeing and organisational performance
• Deliver strong stakeholder engagement both internally across Bayside Health and with external partners including government, universities and the wider community

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Recent executive leadership experience in a large-scale health service and the ability to drive integration across multiple services
• Strong history of strategic and operational delivery with the ability to balance long term goals with immediate operational needs
• Success fostering a positive, high-performing and inclusive workplace culture
• Deep understanding of clinical governance and risk management frameworks as they apply in complex health environments.
