The early postgraduate years are designed to provide exposure to your selected discipline without exam pressure and allow you to decide on a career pathway.

Alfred Health provides PGY2 rotations with excellent training in most disciplines.  Our rotations are broadly divided into Medicine, Surgical and Critical Care streams to provide you with suitable terms to enable progression into basic training in your PGY3 year.

We recognise the pressures of career selection and to assist with future direction and training requirements relevant rotations are accredited for requirements in Surgical training, College of Physicians for Basic Physician Training, plus a pathway to Anaesthetic, ICU, ED or Psychiatry training.
