Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Physics Registrar

Alfred Health are excited to announce a physics registrar position in Nuclear Medicine commencing in January 2025. Join our dynamic physics imaging team – we take pride in training physicists to be well-rounded, capable and confident.

Team Structure:

Join a talented imaging medical physics team at Alfred Health, consisting of:

  • Three radiology medical physicists
  • Two nuclear medicine medical physicists
  • One physics administrator

Role Highlights:

  • Exciting Project: We will be building a facility for a whole-body PET/CT scanner, along with multiple uptake and therapy bays, at the new Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre adjacent to The Alfred. This will be a great learning experience.
  • Comprehensive Services: The Alfred Department of Nuclear Medicine & PET offers a wide range of diagnostic imaging services, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT, non-imaging diagnostic nuclear procedures, therapeutic nuclear medicine services (including theranostics), and is actively involved in clinical research.

Requirements:

  • University Qualification: completed or near completion of a Master in Medical Physics degree (or equivalent)
  • ACPSEM DIMP TEAP: eligible to enrol in the ACPSEM DIMP TEAP program. Ongoing employment will be subject to adequate progress against ACPSEM TEAP training benchmarks and the Alfred Health performance management system.
