  • Grade 2 Occupational Therapist: Transitional Care Program and Inpatient Subacute (VF6-VF9)
  • Fixed term until September 2025

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist - Grade 2 is responsible for the provision of Occupational Therapy Services within a designated clinical caseload, appropriate to their level of experience and competency. At Grade 2 level, Occupational Therapists are required to display autonomy of practice, whilst also contributing strongly to the interdisciplinary team. It is an expectation that Grade 2 clinicians will provide high quality inpatient assessment and intervention, to maximise functional independence, safety and quality of life for diverse client populations. This is achieved through a commitment to patient-centred care, collaborative practice and evidence-based knowledge. 

About You

  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy
  • Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and eligibility for OTA membership
  • Clinical experience in subacute occupational therapy and knowledge of client-centred, occupational service delivery for older patients, particularly in the areas of dementia and delirium.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery in accordance with evidence-based practice
  • Experience working within an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality rehabilitation
  • Experience in supervision of junior staff and students is highly desirable
