On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

The Department
The Alfred Cancer Program is responsible for the overall delivery of a comprehensive cancer service which involves a number of clinical areas and units including; Medical Oncology, Clinical Haematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Apheresis, State-wide Haemophilia Service, Radiation Oncology, Clinical Trials, Palliative Care and the Victorian Melanoma Service. The Alfred Cancer Specialty Consulting Clinics provide scheduled medical, nursing and allied health services to patients.
The Role
Alfred Cancer are seeking an experienced Administration Supervisor who will perform a range of leadership and administrative tasks as well as provide supervision of the administration staff for Alfred Cancer specialist clinics. The Administration Supervisor will be managing administration staff from the departments of Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Haematology.
Skills and Experience Required
- Personable, customer focused approach and commitment to high quality service
- Previous experience and proven skills as a Supervisor of staff preferably within a hospital setting
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to interact and deal with a large professional team
- Demonstrated high level time management and interpersonal skills
- Motivated and enthusiastic with a positive attitude towards work and colleagues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word for Windows, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint
- Flexibility to attend to a variety of administrative duties
- Understanding of confidentiality and privacy legislation
- Demonstrated ability to plan work flows, prioritise and delegate in order to meet deadlines
