DEPARTMENT

The Safety & Wellbeing team provides leadership, strategic guidance, systems, risk reporting/monitoring and expert advice in key areas such as OHS management systems, occupational violence, manual handling and ergonomics, workplace injury prevention and management, emergency preparedness and wellbeing initiatives. 

POSITION

The Wellbeing Lead will support the overall coordination and delivery of Alfred Health's Wellbeing strategy, focusing on both mental and physical health. This role is key in motivating, inspiring, and supporting Alfred Health employees to foster a positive and resilient workforce. The Wellbeing Lead will work closely with the Director, Safety & Wellbeing and the broader Safety & Wellbeing team to implement a Safety and Wellbeing strategy that aligns with Alfred Health's core beliefs.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Tertiary qualifications or degree in Health and Safety, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace wellbeing management, including experience in compliance auditing and advisory services.
  • Proven experience in conducting physical and psychosocial risk assessments, designing wellbeing management systems, and delivering wellbeing programs.
  • Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of wellbeing programs
  • Experience in leading projects, managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, and overseeing the delivery of wellbeing initiatives.
  • Experience in the health industry would be highly regarded.
  • Victorian Driver’s License

Desirable

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, and influence employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Proven project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and other relevant software tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health and physical wellbeing best practices, with the ability to create tailored programs for diverse employee needs.
  • Ability to navigate and influence change management processes to successfully implement wellbeing strategies.
