Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services. On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

Established in 2011 and accredited in 2015 as a Research Translation Centre, Monash Partners is a partnership of researchers, health professionals, consumers and the community that innovates for better health. Our health service partners provide care for more than 3 million Australians, including some of Australia’s most diverse and underserved communities across metropolitan, regional and rural areas. Our Partners include Alfred Health, Monash Health, Eastern Health, Peninsula Health and Cabrini Health, Monash Uni-versity, Baker, Burnet and Hudson Institutes, with La Trobe University, Latrobe Regional Health and Outcome Health as Associate Partners. Corporate oversight of Monash Partners exists at two levels – a Member’s Council to provide strategic direction and an Executive, comprised of the leaders of each of the Clinical Themes and Enabling Platforms and Partner representatives. Monash Partners is also an active member of the Australian Health Research Alliance (AHRA), the peak body for the 12 accredited Research Translation Centres and 2 Emerging Centres, co-leading the Data Platforms.
Position Summary
Involving consumers and the community in all phases of health and medical research is essential to enhance the translation of research findings and discoveries into better clinical care. Monash Partners is one of 12 Research Translation Centres through Australia, identified as key vehicles for strengthening consumer and community involvement in research in Australia. Monash Partners prioritises consumer and community involvement (CCI) through its activities including supporting Consumer Advisory Panel activities, providing an enabling platform for information and training in CCI, undertaking research, and identifying best practice strategies to facilitate meaningful CCI throughout the research pathway.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Essential:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, science, public health, project management, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects or initiatives in a healthcare, academic or re-search environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing a range of documents and materials
- High-level interpersonal skills with a collaborative and consultative approach
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently within a dynamic environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, SharePoint)
Desirable:
- Experience in a health service or academic/research organisation
- Knowledge of the Australian healthcare or research translation landscape
- Familiarity with research impact frameworks or research translation processes.
Other position requirements:
- Travel (between Partner sites) will be required
- There may be peak periods of work during which the taking of leave may be restricted.
