Department

Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.

About the role

The Emergency Psychiatry team is comprised of dedicated and compassionate mental health clinicians. This is a unique opportunity to manage a group of expert clinicians in Emergency Psychiatry at the Alfred servicing the Inner South Area Mental Health catchment area. This position sits within CL & Emergency Psychiatry and manages the day to day operations of CATT, Triage and PACER. You will be responsible for overseeing the clinical work, managing the resources and the development of new staff. You will be accountable to the Operations Manager CLE. and be a part of the CLE leadership team.

About you

• AHPRA registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse with tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing – post graduate diploma equivalent as a minimum
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience
• Higher degree in a relevant field or working towards highly regarded
• Experience in Emergency Psychiatry and/or community experience highly regarded
• Previous leadership role highly regarded
• Australian working rights
