Alfred Care Group is seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacy technician to join the Aseptic Services Team as Senior Supervisory Pharmacy Technician.
About the Department & Aseptic Services
The Pharmacy services operate across all Alfred Care Group sites and are well recognised nationally and internationally for high quality, innovative, patient-focused services, education and training programmes as well as significant research output.
Pharmacy Aseptic Services is a specialised unit within the Pharmacy Operations Team responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely compounding of sterile and selected non‑sterile medicines. The aseptic suite prepares chemotherapy, immunotherapy, clinical trial, cytotoxic and crossflow products, and a small range of non‑sterile compounded items to support patient care across the Alfred Care Group. Operating under strict regulatory, quality, and contamination‑control standards, the team collaborates closely with clinical pharmacists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred therapy. A strong focus on safety, workflow efficiency, and continuous improvement underpins all aseptic production activities.

About the Role
As the Senior Supervisory Pharmacy Technician – Aseptic Services, you will coordinate the delivery of the day-to-day aseptic pharmacy services to Alfred Care Group. You will work closely with the Senior Pharmacist – Aseptic Services to supervise and develop staff working in the area to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice and timely medication supply. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the broader Operations team to optimise workflows and patient outcomes

- Ability to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions.
Qualifications & Experience required
- Certificate IV in Hospital-Health Services Pharmacy Support or equivalent (for example an equivalent certificate in Community Pharmacy Services or a Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Pharmaceutical Science or similar) essential
- Completion of a Pharmacy Board approved or professional body recognised equivalent aseptic and cytotoxic manufacturing course essential
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an aseptic manufacturing technician in a hospital, pharmacy or pharmaceutical industry setting essential
- Management or supervisory experience, including training experience essential
- Formal training in assessment and training and/or management highly desirable
- Knowledge of PBS, S100, and Special Access schemes an advantage
