Clinical Research Nurse – Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Service (MSNI)

  • Fixed Term – 12 months

The Department

The Multiple Sclerosis, Neuroimmunology and Neuro-ophthalmology (MSNI) Unit at Alfred Health is a leader in clinical care and research for people with MS and related disorders. Our multidisciplinary team is driven by compassion and innovation, improving patient outcomes through world-class research and evidence-based practice.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for a passionate Clinical Research Nurse to join a dynamic and supportive team coordinating a diverse portfolio of Phase 1–4 clinical trials. Based in the MSNI Clinical Trials Unit, you will work alongside neurologists, scientists, ethics personnel, and fellow research nurses to deliver high-quality, compliant clinical research. You will be pivotal in participant engagement and care, acting as a central figure across multiple studies to ensure protocol adherence and research excellence. You will be a strong communicator, highly organised, and genuinely motivated by collaborative, multidisciplinary care. An interest in MS or neuroscience is highly regarded, and clinical research experience is welcome, but not essential.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Clinical experience or a keen interest in MS/neuroimmunology (desirable)
  • Previous clinical research experience or a strong willingness to learn
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centred, high-quality care
