The Department

The Australasian Myeloma Research Consortium (AMaRC) is a not-for-profit myeloma clinical trial research group and is a collaboration of myeloma experts, scientists, other clinical specialists to develop and conduct investigator-initiated trials (IITs) in myeloma. We are responsible for a number of IITs conducted at other sites, acting as trial sponsor and/or trial centre for these studies.

The Role

As the Clinical Trial Project Manager, you will collaborate with AMaRC investigators trial sites and research/governance officers to deliver trial project and other research project milestones are achieved. The CTPM may also be directed to support others AMaRC activities including, but not limited to, trial development, budgets and funding negotiations. The position will provide further support to AMaRC and the MRDR focused on developing clinical trials capacity.

Manage various aspects for your assigned AMaRC studies, which are at varying stages of the project lifecycle including study start-up, patient recruitment and study close-out. You will be expected to work cross-collaboratively with investigators, study managers/coordinators, Ethics/Governances committees, Legal, pharmaceutical industry and third-party vendors.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Experience in clinical trial space such as trial coordinator and ethics submission activities
  • Good understanding of and experience with clinical research databases
  • Well organised with good time management skills
  • Shows attention to detail and understands the importance of accurate data quality and accuracy in health research & clinical trials
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly both within a team and autonomously
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory guidelines – ICH/GCP, NHMRC & TGA
  • Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills
  • Capable and cognisant of the importance of supporting participating sites
