The Program
The Emergency, Virtual Care and Outpatients (EVO) Program is responsible for the delivery of emergency and clinical services across Alfred Care Group, as well as hospital coordination across The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham campuses.
ORA is Alfred Care Group's operating model for capacity management and patient flow. Built on the GE HealthCare Command Centre platform, it brings together real-time data, digital systems and specialised teams to give clinicians and operational leaders shared visibility of patient care, capacity and risk delivered through ORA View, ORA Care, ORA Horizon and a Patient Deterioration tile due to go live in early 2027.
The Role
The Senior Analyst – ORA Operations provides the data and analytics function for ORA Operations. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Operations & Nursing – EVO, the role turns ORA and operational data into clear, timely insight that helps operational leaders understand what is happening across the hospital, why it is happening, and what to do about it.
A core part of the role is telling the story behind the data. You will monitor trends in patient flow, capacity, demand and patient deterioration, and present them as plain-language narrative supported by effective visualisation, so that operational, governance and executive audiences can act with confidence.
You will build, maintain and continuously improve the dashboards, reports and performance measures that support ORA Operations, and safeguard the integrity of the data displayed in ORA tiles. Working closely with the Senior Analyst – ORA Program Implementation, Data and Analytics, the ORA project team, Digital Health and GE HealthCare, you will take ownership of new measures and reporting as they transition from project into business-as-usual operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse ORA and operational data to identify trends, patterns and variation, and explain clearly what they mean for operations
- Produce regular performance reports combining data visualisation with narrative commentary on key drivers, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement
- Design, build and continuously improve dashboards and reporting products that are accurate, timely and fit for purpose
- Monitor data integrity across ORA tiles and resolve or escalate data quality issues with Digital Health, Data and Analytics and GE HealthCare
- Maintain the ORA Data Dictionary and business rules documentation
- Prepare data-driven content for papers, briefings and presentations to operational, governance and executive forums including the ORA Steering Committee
- Support staff to understand, interpret and use ORA data and dashboards
What You'll Bring
