We are now seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Migration Lead to join our dynamic HRIS team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the project and help shape our future organisational structure, particularly in relation to the upcoming Health Service merger. 

Department

The Finance Program provides financial and ancillary services to Alfred Health. These include Financial Accounting, Financial Services, Data and Analytics, Performance Monitoring and Reporting, Capital Expenditure and Asset Management, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Patient Revenue Services, Treasury, HRIS and Payroll, Procurement, Property and Supply Chain.

Position Summary

The Data Migration Lead – SuccessFactors, will be responsible for planning and executing the migration of all HR and payroll data from current systems to the new Bayside SuccessFactors instance. This role requires a thorough understanding of data migration principles, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) techniques. The ideal candidate will lead a team of specialists and work closely with the wider project team, implementation partners and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and project success.

Key Responsibilites

  • Develop and implement the data migration strategies and plans required to populate the new single SuccessFactors solution with all current and historical data necessary from all five health services.
    Lead a team of data migration analysts.
  • Collaborate with health service SMEs and other stakeholders across HR, Finance, and operational teams to gather, understand and validate data sets and business requirements.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities.
  • Design a quality management plan for data migration activities including validation of loaded data to ensure data integrity, accuracy and efficiency during migration processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues.
  • Create and maintain a progress tracker for all data migration activities and stages.
  • Identify and track any associated risks and issues, devising and executing suitable mitigation plans where needed.
  • Report on migration progress and performance, escalating risks and issues along with any assistance needed in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare any necessary documentation and records

Key Capabilities

  • Proven experience working as a data migration specialist on similar large system delivery projects, within a team and/or transformation program, in a complex matrix environment.
  • Experience of SAP SuccessFactors or other large-scale HRIS solutions e.g. Workday
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding, plus hands on experience of ETL tools, software and processes.
  • Superior workstream leadership, organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work in cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail along with advanced analytical skills
  • Proactive and creative approach to problem solving where situations are complex.
  • Strong command of data modelling, mapping and transformation techniques
  • Advanced database management and SQL querying and scripting abilities
  • Strong technical writing, documentation and communication skills
