The Department

Alfred Care Group is seeking a highly capable and experienced Executive Assistant to provide high‑level support to the Program Director and Director of Operations Home Acute and Community within our public health service.

This is a pivotal role requiring exceptional organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to operate confidently within a complex clinical and operational environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Program Director and Director of Operations, you will manage the day‑to‑day operation of the HAC Executive Office, providing proactive administrative, coordination and strategic support. You will act as a trusted gatekeeper, liaise closely with senior clinicians and stakeholders, and ensure priorities are managed effectively in a fast‑paced public hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive and complex diary and inbox management
  • Executive support, gatekeeping and stakeholder liaison
  • Coordination of executive, operational and clinical governance meetings
  • Preparation of agendas, briefing papers, minutes and action tracking
  • Drafting and formatting executive briefs, correspondence and reports
  • Coordination of projects, events and executive travel
  • Management of confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years' experience supporting senior executives in a complex organisation (health sector experience highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of clinical environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with Teams and SharePoint
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities with professionalism and resilience
