The Department

Alfred Health Support Services (AHSS) is responsible for the overall delivery of numerous Support Services functions including Cleaning, Gardens and Grounds, Ancillary, Security, Ward Support, Food Services, Fleet Management and 
Car Parking, Waste, Linen Management. 

The Role

The Security Manager will lead the Security Services Leadership Team, and play a key role in the AHSS Operations Leadership team; assisting the Director & Deputy Director of AHSS Alfred Health in providing and maintaining responsibility for the effective management of security functions across all sites in the Health Service, with a key focus on meeting or exceeding industry best-practice and standards and the Australian Standard – Security For Health Care Facilities AS4485, and in doing collaborates with other Support Services Team leaders to foster team development and continuous improvement, ultimately driving excellence in service delivery through a skilled and motivated workforce. The Supervisor(s), Security Services report directly to this role. 

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Diploma in Security Management or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated expertise in Emergency Management, Critical Incident Response, Business Continuity, and Risk Management within healthcare settings
  • Comprehensive understanding of Security Services operations and industry qualifications
  • Proven experience in Healthcare Services leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and implement organisational change
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and skill enhancement
