The Department
Alfred ICYAMHWS is one component of the Department of Mental & Addiction Health at Alfred Care Group. We are a community-based service providing comprehensive assessment, treatment and case management to infants, children, adolescents and young people up to the age of 25 years of age presenting with behavioural, emotional, psychiatric or developmental difficulties.
ICYAMHWS provides clinical services in partnership with a wide range of service providers to achieve the best possible outcomes. Alfred ICYAMHWS is committed to active participation by families and young people in evaluating and improving our services.
The Role
You will provide reception/administrative and medical records services to medical and allied health staff to ensure the effective delivery of all administrative functions. Functions may include reception, maintaining appointment systems, medical records tasks, database management and application of Microsoft Office tools. This position will be integral to the overall functioning and delivery of mental health and wellbeing services to young people and their families and carers.
Experience and Qualifications Required
This position requires an experienced medical receptionist, preferably with an understanding of the management of people with various medical and social issues. You are a high performer who is customer focused, motivated, enthusiastic and can demonstrate initiative. You also have the following:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and knowledge of Alfred Care Group software (Incl Powerchart) preferred but not essential (training can be provided)
- Experience in managing systems for data entry, data analysis and reporting
- Australian working rights
- Current Influenza vaccination
- Current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a Background Check
