The Department

The Digital Health Division is responsible for enabling clinical staff to deliver timely, quality care to our patients and carers through innovative use of information technologies, and through strategic management of information and data across the organisation.

The Digital Health division encompasses all aspects of:

• Information technology procurement, delivery, security and support.
• Electronic Medical Record and a suite of Clinical Applications, Technologies and Products
• Digital Technology
• Data Governance and research
• Cybersecurity
• Transformation 

The Role

The Project Manager will support the planning, coordination and delivery of activities within the Bayside Digital Identity and Microsoft Foundations Program, including digital identity, secure access, Microsoft 365 foundations, tactical collaboration and related transition planning across Bayside Health.

The role will work closely with Digital Health teams, care group representatives, corporate services, Public Affairs, Architecture, Security, vendors and other program stakeholders to coordinate delivery activities, manage dependencies, maintain project controls and support timely decision-making.

The Project Manager will help progress the practical digital foundations required to support Bayside Health’s transition towards a more consistent Microsoft 365 and digital identity environment, while ensuring delivery is staged, governed and aligned with broader merger priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of assigned projects and work packages within the Bayside Digital Identity and Microsoft Foundations Program.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, RAID logs, dependency registers, decision logs, budgets and governance papers.
• Coordinate delivery activities across Digital Health, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Applications, Public Affairs, care group representatives, vendors and external delivery partners.
• Support the planning and delivery of digital identity and secure access activities, including identity lifecycle, access requirements, application dependencies and stakeholder validation.
• Support Microsoft 365 foundation activities, including tactical collaboration, email pathway, Teams, calendar, SharePoint, OneDrive, document collaboration and related transition planning.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions and scope changes, ensuring appropriate escalation through program governance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and vendors, resolve delivery roadblocks and maintain accountability for agreed actions and milestones.
• Monitor project financials, including forecasting, expenditure tracking and reporting against approved budgets.
• Prepare clear and timely project reporting for program forums, steering committees and senior stakeholders.
• Develop implementation, deployment and transition-to-support plans, including handover to operational support teams.

Skills:

• Proven experience managing ICT or digital projects end-to-end in complex organisational environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills across technical, corporate, clinical, operational and leadership groups.
• Sound understanding of ICT project management methodologies, governance frameworks, PMO practices and project reporting disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, risks, issues, dependencies and scope changes.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to bring multidisciplinary teams together and maintain delivery momentum.
• Highly developed communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience monitoring project budgets, forecasts and expenditure.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in changing or ambiguous environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, digital workplace, digital identity, secure access, merger, consolidation or technology transition initiatives will be highly regarded.
