We are now seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll Lead to join our dynamic HRIS project team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the project and help shape our future organisational structure post our recent Health Service merger. 

The Department

The Finance Program provides financial and ancillary services to Alfred Health. These include Financial Accounting, Financial Services, Data and Analytics, Performance Monitoring and Reporting, Capital Expenditure and Asset Management, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Patient Revenue Services, Treasury, HRIS and Payroll, Procurement, Property and Supply Chain.

The Role

The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Lead will be responsible for planning and executing the design, configuration, and delivery of payroll processes within the new Bayside SuccessFactors instance. This role requires a thorough understanding of ECP and its best practise use within Australian healthcare.  The role will also significantly input into the relevant design of and integration with Employee Central, Time & Absence Management and Finance, ensuring accurate payroll operations and data integrity across the enterprise. The role will lead a team of business analysts and work closely with both our implementation partners and each of the five in-scope Bayside Health Care Groups to arrive at the right end-to-end ECP common platform solution that aligns with business objectives, enhances the employee experience, improves operational efficiency, and ultimately ensures successful project delivery.

Key Duties and Responsiblities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll processes and solutions to meet collective Bayside Health requirements
  • Ensure seamless integration with Employee Central, Time & Absence Management (UKG), Finance, and any other Bayside Health or third-party systems as required
  • Conduct deep-dive sessions, help lead workshops and generally collaborate with all Care Groups to gather requirements and translate them into effective best practice payroll solutions that align with Bayside Health goals
  • Help manage end-to-end delivery of solutions, including testing, data migration, deployment, and post
  • implementation support to ensure data accuracy and overall payroll solution integrity
  • Ensure data integrity, privacy and process compliance with health service EBAs, policies and local regulations throughout the project life cycle
  • Provide healthcare expertise in ECP use and functionality to optimize both system performance and employee experience
  • Partner with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of payroll solutions
  • Lead a team of business analysts to help deliver the common platform payroll project
  • Create and maintain a progress tracker for all solution design, configuration and data migration activities to ensure successful project delivery. Be ready to present/report on progress, escalating risks and issues along with any assistance needed in a timely fashion
  • Identify and track any associated risks and issues, devising and executing suitable mitigation plans where needed
  • Help manage senior management and stakeholder expectations, presenting findings and recommendations when appropriate
  • Prepare and document functional specifications, solution designs, and configuration workbooks 

Key Capabilities

  • Experience of SAP SuccessFactors ECP or other large-scale payroll HRIS solutions
  • Proven experience working as an ECP lead or senior specialist on similar large payroll system delivery projects, within a team and/or transformation program, in a complex matrix environment
  • Deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation, processes, and compliance requirements
  • Superior workstream leadership, organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work in cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail along with advanced analytical skills
  • Proactive and creative approach to problem solving where situations are complex
  • Strong technical writing, documentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and relationships effectively
