Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

The Department

Alfred Health has one of the most experienced and technologically advanced radiology/nuclear medicine departments in the country, providing service to the population of Melbourne and greater Victoria. Alfred Heath provides a comprehensive range of medical diagnostic and therapeutic services with a modern range of equipment across all modalities for both inpatients and outpatients. The departmental clinical governance strategy ensures a high standard of care for patients undergoing radiological examinations and promotes a multidisciplinary team approach. Alfred Health Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Department is fully accredited with the Department of Health.  

The Role

The vibrant and busy Radiography department is fully accredited and provides a comprehensive range of medical diagnostic services including Ultrasound, X-ray, Theatre, Fluoroscopy and CT. 

As a Radiology Clerk you will be responsible for coordinating requests, registration of patients and ensuring that patients are processed for their tests. You will provide high-quality clerical support in the department and ensure the provision of service in a timely, effective and efficient way, meeting both our customer's needs and Alfred Health standards of practice. 

Experience and Qualifications Required

This exciting role requires you to have: 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound clerical, phone, booking and reception skills
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • The ability to priortise workload and work under pressure
  • The ability to adapt to change and be flexible
  • The ability to follow directions and comply with the Alfred Health & Departmental Policies and Procedures
  • An understanding of medical terminology is desirable. Previous clerical experience in the medical field is an advantage
