Alfred Health

Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community based services.

Our current PGY3 Surgical vacancy is available for 2018.

Alfred Health offer extensive training opportunities in General Surgery and Specialty Surgery. We provide PGY3 rotations which are all accredited by the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS).

We will assist in tailoring a training and rotational program that meets the specific RACS requirements for entry to the SET program you intend to apply to.  All surgical trainees have access to a full range of mandatory and recommended surgery rotations as well as Emergency and HDU. We provide a supportive environment where training and learning is encouraged, and consultant surgeons are available to teach and advise.

Our range of surgery rotations are also ideal for prospective Radiology and Critical Care trainees where a surgical background can be beneficial.

Prerequisites:  Must hold valid medical registration and be in your PGY3 year in 2018.
