Applications are invited for a Specialist in Neurology (MS and Neuroimmunology and CAR-T Cell Neuroimmunology) to commence from 2 February 2026, working 7 hours per week.

The MS and Neuroimmunology Service at The Alfred was established in late 2017 and has dramatically expanded so that it is now one of the largest MSNI units in Australia. The program delivers a comprehensive research and clinical service that now encompasses outpatient clinics 4 days a week across Alfred campuses. In addition best international practice in MS and Neuroimmunology care the service leads a CAR-T cell neuroimmunology program with in-and out-patient multi-disciplinary care.  This includes a Director of MSNI, a Head of Neuroimmunology and 8 additional consultants. The multidisciplinary team includes two clinical MSNI nurses, research nurses, physiotherapists, neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists, and dietetics.

Appointees must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in MS and Neuroimmunology (specifically experience with CAR-T cell Neuroimmunology) is required, as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Neurology.
