About the Department

The Clinical Genetics and Genomics Service (CGGS) at Bayside Health is a diagnostic and predictive health service for adults who have a known or suspected inherited genetic condition and/or have a family history of an inherited genetic condition.

About the Role

Applications are invited for the position of Specialist in Clinical Genetics (Fractional) at Alfred Care Group, Bayside Health, working 7 hours per week starting in November 2026.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:

• Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice
• Fellow of the relevant college
• Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Clinical Genetics, with specific interest/experience in Cardiac Genetics
• Meeting Bayside Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Clinical Genetics
• Outstanding communication skills, including well-developed conflict resolution skills
• Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels
• Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams.
