Department/Unit:

Neurology is a developing specialty within Alfred Health, and recent investment has produced significant growth in this area, particularly with regard to research and clinical trials. Neurology at Alfred Health consists of inpatient units and a range of specialised outpatient clinics.

Position Summary:

We have a great opportunity for a Network Coordinator/Business Consultant role in Alfred Neurology Clinical Trials team.
The Movement Disorder Society of Australia and New Zealand (MDSANZ) is a network of academic Movement Disorders centres which are committed to improvement in the treatment of Movement Disorders and related disorders. 

This position will be responsible for the coordination and collaboration of research centres across Australia and New Zealand. A focus of this role will be to assist in building this network through strategic implementation and rapid establishment of clinical trials and other research within a collaborative network.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Essential

  • Demonstrated high level of computer literacy including MS Office, Excel and Word, and other financial programs/tools that are used in the health sector and in health economic activity and analysis.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service focus, business ethics and commitment to team work.
  • Demonstrated competency in financial management  including  analysis,  forecasting, budgeting, reconciliation, accounts receivable and payable using current information management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities and to develop appropriate scoping/business plans.
  • Highly organised with prioritisation of tasks in a busy environment whilst maintaining accuracy and high business ethic code of conduct.

Desirable

  • Experience working within the Health Sector.
  • Experience managing contracts including liaising with legal departments.
  • Experience with social media and marketing.

Qualifications Required

  • Qualifications in business management or associated qualifications, diplomas, degrees or certificates; a Master of Business Administration would be viewed as an advantage.

Performance Management

  • Annual performance development will be undertaken by the Director.
