Department :

The Nurse Manager (NM), Specialist Clinics (Surgical Services) leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for outpatient access, flow, and patient care across the surgical journey, from referral acceptance through to discharge from Surgical Services.

Position :

The role has responsibility for Specialist Clinics (all campuses), including clinical operations, financial management, business continuity, and emergency response, with escalation to the Deputy Director of Operations and Nursing – Planned Surgery & Ambulatory Care, as well as relevant program stakeholders. The NM oversees Alfred Centre Ground and Level 1 Specialist Clinics and Sandringham Outpatients.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
  • Recent extensive clinical nursing experience in relevant health service
  • Current and satisfactory Police Check
  • Current and satisfactory Working with Children Check

Desirable

  • Degree in healthcare / business management or working towards same
