Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services, which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.

The single most important goal of Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process.

What you’ll be doing

 The Principal Clinical Psychologist will provide clinical and professional leadership to the psychologists working within the Adult & Older Adult program.You will provide direct clinical services to consumers of the Adult & Older Adult program as well as expert consultation to AMAH staff and to other health providers along with contributing to complex case planning, case conferences and the preparation of safety/crisis  plans, as required.

Additonally you will actively participate in Adult & Older Adult program activities such as professional development sessions & case presentations whilst functioning as a senior member of the Alfred Health Psychology Service.

About you

  • Registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009.
  • Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009.
  • Master or doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Minimum eight to ten years’ experience working as a registered clinical psychologist
  • Membership of the APS and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
  • Experience working with a range of diagnostic presentations and of delivering specialist interventions, assessments and therapies
  • Australian working rights
  • Full Covid-19 and 2023 Influenza vaccination
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
  • Current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a Background Check
