Crisis Assessment Team/EPS/Triage - Social Worker or Occupational Therapist

  • Permanent, Full-Time & Part time positions (64 or 80 hrs + ADO - negotiable)
  • 7 day rotating roster with Permanent night duty opportunities
  • Non-clinical days pro-rata
  • Social Worker/Occupational Therapist Grade 2

Department

Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.

About the role

The Emergency Psychiatry team is comprised of dedicated and compassionate mental health clinicians. We celebrate diversity within our workforce and are a socially active team with a genuine interest in each other’s wellbeing. We set high standards and our team is committed to delivering timely and effective care to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and promoting recovery. We also value higher learning and have our own practice development clinicians who are dedicated to supporting the professional growth of clinicians to provide the best care possible.

This is an incredibly unique and diverse role, which branches across four main areas – Crisis Assessment and Treatment, Triage, Emergency Psychiatry and APACER. Unlike other mental health services where staff generally are siloed into one specific team, this is a fantastic opportunity to work across a variety of unique settings and be a valued member of a supportive team which provide support across each stream depending on demand.

About you

  • Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board via AHPRA, or eligible for membership with AASW.
  • Post graduate qualification in mental health or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience. Previous work within an acute community mental health setting is highly regarded
  • Drug and alcohol experience is desirable
  • Australian working rights and full covid 19 vaccination
