  • Permanent, Full-time (1 EFT / 80 Hours + monthly ADO)

The Department

Ngamai Wilam is a newly built 12-bed residential eating disorder treatment facility in Armadale. Jointly funded by the Australian Federal Government and the Victorian Government, this specialist statewide service will be managed by Alfred Care Group.

Ngamai Wilam provides 24/7 trauma-informed, recovery-focused care for adults aged 18 and over in a gender-inclusive, home-like therapeutic environment. With a strong emphasis on family and chosen supports, our team is dedicated to person-centred care that promotes long-term recovery.

The Role

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you will:

  • Provide dynamic clinical leadership – Foster an inclusive and collaborative environment, ensuring safe delegation of roles and responsive escalation of concerns
  • Lead clinical handovers – Champion transparent, strengths-based communication to support coordinated, person-centred care
  • Champion recovery-oriented practice – Promote a culture of reflection, professional growth, and continuous service improvement
  • Drive service excellence – Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure evidence-informed, holistic support for participants

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia)
  • Postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing
  • Postgraduate work experience in mental health settings
  • Other relevant tertiary qualifications (highly regarded)
  • Experience in mental health residential care
  • Experience in dialogical practice and its application in mental health care
  • Experience working with individuals with eating disorders
  • Australian working rights
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License, Working with Children Check, and Background Check
