Procurement, Property and Supply Department (PPSD)
The PPSD is the principal sourcing, contracting, warehousing and distribution centre for Alfred Health. The Department supplies all medical, surgical and general supplies in a timely, efficient and error free environment meeting all applicable standards and with optimal risk management: “The right product, where and when it’s needed, at the right price.”
About the role
To provide the Supply Department with supervisory and clerical support and to ensure the efficient flow of work through the Store and Imprest Service.
About you
- Proven experience as a Team Leader in a warehousing and distribution role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Experience in Great Plains and Workplace software would be desirable
- Significant experience in the use of store/warehouse computer-based systems
- Ability to organise and prioritise own work and that of others to meet urgent deadlines and peak work loads
- Ability to deal with requests from senior personnel within a hospital with maturity and tact
- Should be competent in the following applications, MS Office (excel), Microsoft Outlook etc.
- Ability to follow up matters on behalf of the Warehouse and Distribution Manager with confidence and assertiveness
- High personal integrity
- Hold a forklift license
- Hold a current Victorian Driver’s License (manual transmission)
- Year eleven qualification or equivalent
