Position Overview:
Launch your clinical psychology career with Alfred Health – a leading provider of mental health and wellbeing services. Our two-year registrar program offers immersive clinical experience, individual and peer-group supervision, and a supportive learning environment.
One position is available for new-graduate psychologists seeking forensic-clinical psychology endorsement, commencing February 2026.
Our well-established psychology graduate program will support your transition into the workforce while you undertake the PsyBA forensic and clinical psychology registrar programs.
- Fixed Term Appointment - 2 Years, commencing in February 2026.
- Full-time 80 Hours + ADO.
Eligibility Criteria:
We warmly welcome applications from passionate and committed current final year Clinical-Forensic Doctoral candidates who currently hold provisional registration and expect to attain General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia by no later than end of January 2026.

Program Highlights:
- Two 12-month rotations in services within Alfred Mental and Addiction Health Infant Child and Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. One will be based in the Youth Forensic Specialist Service, and the other in another service in ICYMHWS.
You will be supported by highly experienced supervisors at each rotation site, and receive supervision provided by a dedicated Psychology Educator throughout your two-year program. Our supervision model ensures you receive consistent, high-quality guidance from senior psychologists, with opportunities for feedback, case discussion, and professional growth.
Regular peer group supervision. - You will be enrolled in Alfred Health’s Psychology Registrar Learning and Development Program. You will learn and network with peers at a similar stage of development, as well as learn from guest speakers from specialist areas.
- Four hours of protected time per week for reflective practice in your first year.
- Discovery Days across diverse mental health services.
- Access to a diverse range of professional development opportunities through the psychology department as well as AMAH.
- Most graduates from our program have successfully transitioned into clinical psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist roles at Alfred Health.
