At headspace Syndal, we aim to create a welcoming and supportive space for young people and their families. We work closely with the community to provide accessible mental health support for young people experiencing hearing voices or unusual beliefs. Our approach focuses on building on strengths and resilience, valuing lived experience, and supporting hope, growth, and recovery. We’re also a friendly and supportive team who enjoy connecting with each other—often over lunch together.
The Role
Are you someone who enjoys supporting young people and families both in-centre and via outreach? This is a new initiative started in June 2025 that seeks to improve access and engagement with the local CALD community in headspace Syndal catchment. The clinician will join the hSyndal team to provide tailored intake support, single-session therapy, and psychoeducation sessions for parents and students within this CALD community to build mental health literacy and reduce stigma.
The role also includes outreach with community partners, such as international student coordinators, to support young people in accessing services. Fluency in English and another language (preferably Mandarin) is highly desirable. Experience supporting young people with mental health, and related wellbeing needs is required.
