The Department

Our Allied Health departments are leaders in research, innovation and education.  Allied Health Services include the disciplines of Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Patient and Family Services, Interpreters, Speech Pathology, Podiatry, Psychology, Prosthetics & Orthotics and Orthoptics.

 

The Role

Alfred Health has confirmed a strategic direction in the direct capture and use of clinical information, building on its well-established clinical information systems and care reform across the continuum requiring translation of evidence to design effective new models of care. The Allied Health Digital Health & Improvement Lead will support engagement of Allied Health clinicians in EMR workflows and other Digital Health programs focusing on delivering safe, timely, quality patient care. The Allied Health Digital Health & Improvement Lead will have strong informatics skills and help build a strong culture of evidence-based practice and continuous improvement practice across the allied health workforce. Aside from digital health the other core component of this role is implementation science and leading the design, implementation and evaluation of new models of care. 

 

Qualifications/Experience Required

Essential                  

  • Degree or equivalent in an Allied Health Discipline.
  • Post-graduate qualifications at Masters level in a clinical area or health services management/leadership/administration/business management/data analytics.
  • Eligibility for registration or membership of the relevant professional body                

      Desirable               Desirable

  • At least 10 years postgraduate experience in the hospital/health setting
  • Relevant qualifications in digital health and/or improvement science
