Respiratory Protection Program

Position Summary

Working as part of the Respiratory Protection Program Clinic, the Respirator Protection Program Consultant has an integral role in implementing and maintaining the Alfred Health Occupational Health and Safety, Infection Prevention and Respiratory Program guidelines. The Respirator Protection Program Consultant will:

  • Conduct fit testing of Respiratory Protective Equipment and document results according to procedures
  • Provide information to employees around the correct use of Respiratory Protective Equipment and guidance around preventing injuries
  • Support employees to choose from the available respirator selection, and to understand fit test results
  • In house training will be provided for the above

Experience and Skills Required


  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective team player who contributes positively to work and interdisciplinary team culture
  • A mature and confident approach possessing strong personal motivation
  • Basic computer literacy and skills
  • Easily adapts to learning new systems, processes, programs, database applications and software
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Excellent record keeping standards


  • Recent work experience in customer service
  • RespFit accreditation
