Alfred Health is the main provider of health services to people in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne and is also a major provider of specialist services to people across Victoria.  The Health Service operates three outstanding facilities: The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham.

The Alfred Health Clinical Genetics & Genomics Service, together with specialist clinical services, provides integrated clinical genetics services to adult patients and family members suspected or at risk of having an underlying inherited condition. The service is using innovative models of care to deliver high quality genetics and genomic services alongside patient’s routine health care. 

Applications are invited for the position of Visiting Medical Officer in Clinical Genetics. You will provide excellent clinical expertise in Clinical Genetics. 

Applicants must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Physicians. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Clinical Genetics is required as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Clinical Genetics.
