The Department
Alfred Health Allied Health comprises a number of Allied Health disciplines that provide patient-centred care across all clinical programs that operate at Alfred Health. Allied Health disciplines provide care that optimises physical,
psychosocial, communication and cognitive functioning. To ensure that the Allied Health workforce is fit for purpose, there is a robust governance structure that provides oversight of staff and student education, research, workforce innovation and quality and safety.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated senior Allied Health Clinician to join our team at Alfred Health. Our team leader in Cancer Services will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of a contemporary model of oncology care, based on best practice. This role will also lead a high-performing Allied Health team by providing coordination of patient care, quality improvement and research leadership and facilitating skill development of Allied Health staff and students.
Skills/Qualifications Required
- Highly developed clinical and leadership skills and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary Allied Health team
- Proven experience in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of contemporary oncology models of care
- Proven experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of research and quality improvement
- Extensive experience in the supervision and mentoring of allied health staff, students and support staff
- Commitment to staff development, continuing education, quality improvement and research
- High-level communication, negotiation, problem-solving and conflict management skills
