The Fellow will work with 9 Trauma Registrars from General Surgery (SET positions accredited by RACS), Emergency Medicine (registrar positions accredited by ACEM), Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine. There are also 7 HMOs working for the Trauma Service.
The Trauma Fellow’s role includes rostered duty covering day, evening, weekend and overnight periods. Duties include the reception, assessment, resuscitation and ongoing management of acute trauma patients, within a multi-disciplinary setting (involving specialised emergency physicians, general surgeons and specialty surgeons, interventional radiologists and anaesthetists).
Please note that this position is open to either Surgical or Critical Care candidates.
