An exciting opportunity is available for an administration officer to join the Integrated Care Team (ICT). ICT is an outward facing General Medicine service that provides non-admitted acute care to patients in the community. This position works closely with The Hospital Admissions Risk Program (HARP). HARP is comprised of a multidisciplinary workforce working in an interdisciplinary model of care caring for people with chronic and complex medical and psychosocial needs. Both services sit under the Home Acute and Community Program within Alfred Health


The ICT administration officer is orientated to both the ICT and HARP services. However, the ICT  administration officer works primarily with the Integrated Care Team and acts in a customer service role, maintains electronic medical record (EMR) requirements, operational support for staff and management and oversight of consumables and expenditure.

The administration officer supports the rotational nature of the medical team with orientation to the Integrated Care service, Alfred Health and works closely with the Operations Lead in managing the onboarding of staff. The administration officer is proficient IT platforms used in the ICT, including, Excel, MS Teams, Alfred Health EMR, Cerner, IPM Alfred Health order and supply systems. The ICT is an expanding, developing, service and therefore the administration role will continue to adapt with the service. The administration officer works in partnership with the HARP administration officer supporting each other’s service when required.

Essential Experience

  • Experience in Acute Health Services administration
  • Proficiency in information technology including the MS suite, key platforms used by Alfred Health (CERNER, Ereq, Officemax)
  • Accurate and timely data entry
  • Accurate, timely and comprehensive financial accountability for domains that are organized within this role.
  • Working flexibly to adapt with the changing requirements of the service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proactive participation in performance development and continuing professional development.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
