Clinical Genetics, within the Alfred Specialty Medicine program
Position Summary
The Certified Genetic Counsellor will work in conjunction with the Senior Genetic Counsellor/Unit Manager and Director of Clinical Genetics to help coordinate and deliver high-quality genetic services. Working alongside clinicians to support the introduction and integration of genetic/genomic testing in existing clinics and in establishing new genetics clinics Leading and managing the Genetic Counselling program within the neurogenetic service working in conjunction with the Senior Genetic Counsellor to provide coordination of genetics services across the organisation as well as supervision and clinical support of genetic counsellors and genetic counselling support staff.
Experience and Qualifications Required
Have extensive genetic counselling experience commensurate with Grade 5 Senior Genetic Counsellor
Appropriate genetic qualifications for Grade 5 Senior Genetic Counsellor
Leadership of service with multiple genetic conditions
Current and satisfactory Police Check
Current and satisfactory Working with Children Check
Research experience is preferred but not mandatory for the role
