Grade 1 Speech Pathology position
Full-Time Permanent - 76 hours per fortnight
Rotational Role including Caulfield Hospital and the Community Rehabilitation Centre
The Department
The Alfred Health Speech Pathology Department is a co-ordinated service across all of Alfred Health which includes The Alfred Hospital; Caulfield Hospital; and Sandringham Hospital.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to join the Alfred Health Speech Pathology team.
The position is a rotational role based at Caulfield Hospital and the Community Rehabilitation Centre . There may also be the opportunity for rotation into other areas of Alfred Health, including The Alfred.
Responsibilities include assessment and management of patients with disorders of swallowing, communication and cognition.
Skills
An ability to apply theoretical knowledge in the areas of dysphagia, dysphasia, motor speech disorders and cognition.
Good problem-solving skills.
Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
High standard of written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Experience with videofluoroscopy is desirable
