Do you have a proven track record in the implementation of quality and safety systems at an organisational level? An exciting opportunity exists for a leadership role within the Clinical Governance Unit at Alfred Health. This is a permanent full time position.

The Quality and Safety Data Systems Manager will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of clinical quality and safety data and related systems to improve patient care at Alfred Health. This includes overseeing the Qualityand Safety Data Systems team and program of work. Working closely with Directors, managers and clinicians, the Quality and Safety Data Systems Manager will facilitate and support the synthesis and sharing of clinical performance information across Alfred Health to ensure an accurate understanding of the quality and safety of patient care and identification of opportunities for improvements.

You will have:

  • Experience in the development of quality and safety systems within a large healthcare organisation.
  • Extensive experience in analysis and interpretation of complex clinical and administrative datasets.
  • Proven ability to engage, collaborate with and influence a diverse group of internal stakeholders including clinical teams.
  • Experience with the Victorian Health Incident Management System (VHIMS) and Riskman
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a complex environment.
  • Experience successfully managing and working as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Health related tertiary qualification.
  • Experience in statistical analysis highly desirable

Post-graduate qualification in healthcare management, epidemiology or similar highly preferred.
