DEPARTMENT:

Outpatients Program

The Alfred Health Outpatients Program is responsible for the delivery of a number of non-admitted services across the organisation as well as several services that support the delivery of clinical care, including Specialist Consulting Clinics, The Alfred Transit Lounge, GP Liaison Service, Health Information Service and the Referral In service.

DEPARTMENT:

The Alfred has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join The Alfred’s Health Information Services team.

This position is responsible for co-ordinating Alfred Health’s Subpoenas and Warrants, UR Number Duplications, Patient Alias Management, Ambulance Service enquiries, statistics collections, stationery ordering, Quality Improvement audits and other.  

To succeed in this position you will need to have an understanding of public health processes, iPM and Cerner experience, and the ability to work independently and within a team.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential                 

  • Experience in Health Information Service activities
  • Experience in Patient Administrative Systems and Clinical EMR systems
  • Microsoft Office package

Desirable                

  • Previous Health Information Service or hospital clerical environment.
  • Highly developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
