Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community based services.
Part-time: 40-60 hours per fortnight
Ward 5EA provides care to a broad range of patients, being a specialty medicine ward that includes the medical disciplines of Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology and General medicine
This dynamic position requires a friendly and welcoming personality as the ward clerk is often the first point of contact for visitors to ward 7W. The ward clerk is responsible for the coordination of communication, patient services and clerical functions as directed by the Nurse Manager.
Staff joining the team will be training in Infection Prevention measures and PPE management
Computer literacy including Cerner and iPM skills (desirable)
Have excellent people management and communication skills
Have excellent organisational skills
Be able to problem solve and work flexibly to ensure patient care is provided at the optimal standard
You will be well supported and mentored by the senior ward clerk, nursing management and leadership team.
