  • Permanent, 2 vacancies: Full-time and Part-time (4 days/wk)

Alfred Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS)

Alfred CYMHS is one component of the Department of Mental & Addiction Health at Alfred Health. We are a community-based service providing comprehensive assessment, treatment and case management to infants, children, adolescents and young people up to the age of 25 years of age presenting with behavioural, emotional, psychiatric or developmental difficulties. 

Child and Youth (CY) HOPE

CY HOPE is a program within CYMHS that supports children and young people at a risk of suicide. The program provides rapid and intensive form of support to the young person as well as their support networks through prevention and intervention.


You will be providing clinical leadership, clinical accountability, assistance to the access and brief intervention team, support and mentoring to CY HOPE staff and coordination of CY HOPE.

You will also will also provide case management, intake duties, clinical assessment and interventions for children, young people and families and their support networks via outreach and office based appointments.


  • Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for membership of AHPRA or the appropriate professional body
  • Extensive skills and experience in assessment of children and young people
  • Appropriate work visa
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
  • Current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one and be willing to undergo a Background Check
